Democrats Delighted With Dr. Brash
Democrats Delighted With Dr. Brash
The Leader of the Democrats, Stephnie de Ruyter, has expressed delight at the election of her new counterpart in the National Party.
"Given the direct involvement of Dr. Brash over the past 20 years in the way the economy has developed and performed, his election gives us the opportunity of exposing the fallacies that surround the successes that he and his fellow travellers in the ACT Party claim as their own" said Ms de Ruyter. "His record as Governor of the Reserve Bank (of choking off any signs of growth by manipulating interest rates) illustrates where his National Government will head if they get their hands on the Treasury Benches".
The influence of Rogernomics and Ruthenasia loom large behind the decision to send Bill English back to the comfort of his Dipton farm.
"The choice facing voters for the next election has been made a little clearer in terms of where to place a vote to best effect" continued the Democrat Leader. "The problems around health, education and social infrastructure, which led to the electorate voting in an extreme right of centre administration in 1984, are still there despite all the pain Dr. Brash's predecessors imposed on the people during the past two decades"
"Voting for an National/ACT coalition will simply see a return to the structural adjustments that resulted in New Zealand sliding down the international ladder toward third world health status" she said. "It is well recognised that the so-called progressive policies of that era were the direct cause of the present low income/skill deficient economy that is still struggling to regain its impetus".
"The only vote which
will provide an opportunity for real growth and prosperity
rests with the Democrats and our policies of using debt free
funding streams for essential infrastructural projects such
as transport, health and education, which are at the centre
of a robust and inclusive economy" concluded Ms de Ruyter.
