‘Never Too Early, Never Too Late’ Youth Justice Conference
Wellington Town Hall
Monday 17 May to Wednesday 19 May 2004

Child, Youth and Family is hosting this conference, which will provide a forum for those working in the Youth Justice sector to listen and learn, discuss and debate the issues facing the young people of this country.

Keynote speakers include,
- Tania Major, the youngest elected regional councillor for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Commission (ATSIC) talking on youth justice issues in Cape York
- Chief Superintendent John Mauger from the Essex Police, discussing youth offending teams in England
- Judge Becroft, Principal Youth Court judge on the future challenges to youth justice in New Zealand
- Shannon Pakura, Acting General Manager Social Work Operations, Child, Youth and Family, who will close the conference on Wednesday.
