Campaign against ‘Enough is Enough’ Launched

20 July 2004

Homosexual Committee Launches Counter-Campaign against ‘Enough is Enough’.
In opposition to the ENOUGH IS ENOUGH mass gathering organised for Monday 23rd August at the grounds of Parliament, the ‘Civil Union Bill Campaign Committee’ has launched a counter-campaign.

Described as a ‘silent vigil’, the motive is more clearly revealed in a statement on their website which reads, “put the rabid, fundamentalist right where they belong - back in the box”.

Support for the genuine ‘Enough is Enough’ campaign continues to grow strongly, uniting the religious community in a stand for family values, the institution of marriage, and the wellbeing of children.

Pastor Brian Tamaki, the Senior Minister of Destiny Churches has developed a simple message to take to parliament – VALUES MATTER:

Value our children and future generations, Acknowledge God, Leave parental rights and responsibilities alone, Uphold our nations founding values and high moral standards, Esteem families and the institution of marriage, Stop, talk and listen to the people.

“Our aim is to defend the institution of marriage and uphold a standard for the sake of our children and the generations to come”, said Pastor Tamaki.

A website has been set up to provide nationwide access to information about the event, www.enough.org.nz.
