1 Million Withdraw From Chinese Communist Party
One Million People Withdraw From The Chinese Communist Party
Media Release: 22/04/2005
Just fifteen years after the collapse of the Berlin Wall, a massive movement for democracy and freedom has emerged in China and its momentum is shocking the world. In last five months, over one million people have publicly renounced their membership in the Chinese Communist Party and the associated organizations.
According to the information of one of the Epoch Times’ websites, a website that was set up for the purpose of facilitating the withdrawal from the Chinese Communist party, up to 21st of April 2005, the number of people who have announced their withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party(CCP), Youth League and Young Pioneers has reached 1,019,101. An average of over 20,000 more, each day, post their withdrawal from the CCP.
The direct cause of this wave of withdrawals is the “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” published by The Epoch Times at the end of last year. These ‘ Nine Commentaries’ disclosed a fair and just account of the history and evil characteristic of the CCP, its destructive nature and its indiscriminate torture and killing of millions of people. “The Nine Commentaries” is like a sharp knife shattering the shield built by the CCP to control the Chinese people. It has awakened the Chinese people from the bondage of the CCP. The Commentaries sent shock waves through the Chinese communities within and outside of China. People have now awakened to the true nature of CCP, and want to severe their link to the CCP.
Today, more than one million people have renounced their membership from the CCP. This will indeed be a milestone in our history that can be compared with the fall of the Berlin Wall. To mark this historic occasion, over 150 Chinese groups from around the globe will join a “March for Democracy and Freedom” in New York City on April 23. Over 3,000 are expected to join this march. There will be similar activities in Asia (Hong Kong, Taipei, Japan), North America, Europe, and Australia (Sidney, Melbourne, Brisbane). In New Zealand, The Epoch Times NZ is organizing a Press Conference at Aotea Square, Auckland on 26th April, 2005. We have also invited guest speakers to speak on the commentaries and the current mood of CCP membership withdrawal.
We invite you to come and learn more about the “Nine Commentaries”, to listen to the experiences and perspectives of the speakers, and to ask any questions you may have regarding the recent flurry of withdrawals from the CCP.
