Epsom voters will question rivals at election debate tomorrow night
The Epsom electorate will decide the fate of the ACT party this election. We can expect Epsom candidates Richard Worth, Rodney Hide and Keith Locke to aggressively campaign for the candidate vote at the Maxim Institute Political Forum tomorrow night, in an election campaign otherwise dominated by the importance of the party vote.
Tuesday’s Forum is the 21st in the Maxim Institute Political Forum road show which has travelled New Zealand from Dargaville to Alexandra. Chair of tomorrow night’s debate, Maxim’s Managing Director Greg Fleming, is looking forward to putting the crowd’s questions to MPs.
“At every Forum we explain MMP and stress the importance of the party vote. There are only four electorates in the country where the candidate vote will have as much impact as the party vote and I am delighted that we will have a live example Tuesday night”, says Greg Fleming.
“Tomorrow night’s debate will be lively, and the winner on the night could be the winner on the day”, says Greg Fleming.
MPs taking part include:
Dr Richard Worth, National
(Incumbent)
Rodney Hide, ACT (Leader)
Keith
Locke, Greens
John Tamihere,
Labour
Peter Brown, New Zealand First
