CHNZ Director Steps
Down
After a meeting of the Christian Heritage NZ Board, CHNZ policy director Mark Munroe has decided to step down from his position. Mr Munroe said,
“Given the negative publicity surrounding my email comments about the Capill case I now consider it is in the best interests of everyone for me to step down. It has been distressing for me that my comments were interpreted as minimising the crimes. This is not at all what was intended. I am well aware of the deep trauma and pain that has been caused by Graham Capill’s actions.”
Party leader Ewen McQueen said there would be no further comment on the matter.
