Extend Partnership To Board
Save the Children New
Zealand’s relationship with the New Zealand Rugby Union has
been further developed with the appointment of the NZRU’s
Therese Walsh to the Board of Save the Children New Zealand,
extending the partnership between the two organisations
right up to board level.
Save the Children New Zealand is the official charity of the NZRU and the All Blacks. The two organisations have been working together since September 2005 on a number of projects, including Save the Children's annual appeal.
Therese Walsh will represent the NZRU on the Save the Children New Zealand board. She has been warmly welcomed by the Board, President Martin Hawes and Executive Director, John Bowis.
"Therese Walsh brings an excellent business and management experience to our board with her background at KPMG and current role as General Manager, Corporate Services with the NZRU.
"It is especially pleasing to formalise Save the Children New Zealand's partnership with the NZRU by including Therese Walsh on our board. We look forward to working together to ensure our contribution to children in need around the world is maximised," John Bowis, Executive Director, Save the Children said.
