Ministry moves to The Terrace

Media release April 20 2006

Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs moves to The Terrace

After almost 10 years of being located in the Charles Fergusson Building, in Ballantrae Place, Wellington, the Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs national office is on the move.

From April 24, our new premises will be at ASB House, located between Lambton Quay and The Terrace, which also houses a section of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

Our phone numbers and postal address will remain the same, but our new physical address will be Level 2, ASB House, 101-103 The Terrace, P.O Box 833, Wellington.

The Ministry’s national office phone and fax numbers will not change from phone 64 4 473 4493 and fax 64 4 473 4301.

Regional Ministry offices in Christchurch and Auckland will not be affected in this move.

The Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs has been operating for 21 years and exists to promote the development of Pacific peoples in New Zealand. The Ministry provides policy and communications advice to Government and other government agencies on key policies and issues that impact on Pacific peoples.
