Electronic Client Management to boost services

Electronic Client Management system boost to Work and Income services

"The Ministry of Social Development's new client management system will enable our staff to work even more effectively to support clients into work. The new smart system streamlines administration time and supports best practice case management" said Work and Income Deputy Chief Executive Liz Jones.

The Ministry of Social Development today announced it has purchased the Cram Software Solution, an electronic client management system designed specifically for social security and employment services.

"Cram Software's Client Management System will make a huge difference to the way our staff can work with clients. It represents a significant leap in the way services can be delivered.

"With automatic components of the system also mean new staff will be able to get up to speed faster.

"The $54 million cost of the project will be met out of the Ministry's budget. Money has been set aside over the past few years for this purpose. No additional funding is required from government. The first phase will be introduced in July 2007 and implemented by the end of the year.

"The new client management system for Work and Income complements the new Working New Zealand programme of employment and support services introduced last year. It will allow case managers to spend increased quality time with clients to help even more New Zealanders into work," said Liz Jones.
