Fresh from their failed attempts to cut off funding for the Iraq War, treacherous Democrats are now seeking to choke off money for America's proposed Missile Shield in Europe. Russia's neo-Stalinist President Putin will be tickled red, observes SOLO (Sense of Life Objectivists) Principal Lindsay Perigo. Putin has already protested the shield, like Mikhail Gorbachev before him, notwithstanding that its function is purely defensive. He'll be delighted, but not surprised, to learn that he has allies in Dem-Scum congressmen.

As the New York Times (October 31) reports:

"A military funding bill moving through Congress will not contain money to begin building a controversial US missile defense system in Europe, a senior Democratic lawmaker said on Wednesday.

"Rep. John Murtha of Pennsylvania, who chairs a House of Representatives panel that oversees military spending, told reporters that legislation will move this week without any funds for the project ...

"The Bush administration has argued that the missile system would protect against attacks from Iran and other countries the United States considers 'rogue states.' ...

"Democrats who control Congress are engaged in a high-stakes game with Bush over a series of spending bills he has threatened to veto. Murtha said the defense bill will be joined with measures funding health, education, labor and veterans programs and the entire package likely will be vetoed."

"While Objectivists would welcome the ending of federal government spending on health and education, the fact that Dem-Scum would play politics with the long-awaited and spectacularly seminal 'Star Wars' programme is testament to their status as traitors to their country and its founding ideals," Perigo concludes.
