New Curriculum = More Incompetence and Deception
"If anyone actually believes that the new curriculum can improve the intellectual standard of New Zealand children then they really have been sucked in," said Peter Osborne, Libertarianz Associate Education Spokesman today. "This curriculum is mere window dressing for our shoddy, incompetent and deceptive education system, whose victims, as always, are the pupils."
"As an example," Osborne said, "The re-inclusion of a greater emphasis on the 'Tweaty of Waitangi', makes it obvious that the children of New Zealand are once again merely political pawns. Too scared of losing the support of potential coalition partners, Labour have buckled to pressure from the Maori Party and the Greens. History shall be re-written, completely devoid of fact, and we will see another exercise in propaganda and attitudinal conditioning."
"One only needs to see the projected time frame for curriculum implementation to know that state education is painfully slow, primitive and very expensive. Yet the real tragedy in this is that parents have even less control over the education of their own children than ever before. Libertarianz would put an end to Nanny State's one-size-fits-all conditioning centres. There are no winners while the State controls the minds of New Zealand children," Osborne concludes. "Parental control and choice will become a reality only when Education and State are separated, and future governments denied access to the minds of New Zealand children."
"It's Enough to Make you Vote Libertarianz!"
