Burmese anti-junta activists regroup

Since mid October new groups of anti-junta activists have sprung up in Rangoon.

A group calling themselves "Generation Wave" have been distributing anti-junta leaflets and posters in and around Rangoon, carrying messages such as FFF (Freedom From Fear), CNG (Change New Government).

Another new group known as 'Freedom Fighter' have been tying pieces of monks robes to roadside trees as a reminder of the junta's brutal suppression of the Buddhist clergy.

Kyaw Kyaw, a member of Generation Wave said, "In September, people were afraid. But this time the fear has been overcome by the bitterness, so we believe the movement will gain momentum and will be bigger than that of the September protests."
