Progressives launch online video campaign

From the office of
MATT ROBSON
Deputy Leader of the Progressive Party

Progressives launch online video campaign

Bringing Matt Robson back to parliament to join Jim Anderton is a priority aim for the Progressive Party in this year's election and today the Progressives launched an online video aimed at supporting his campaign.

The video highlights endorsements from many communities he has helped, as an MP, cabinet minister, lawyer and community worker.

Matt is the Progressive Party President and Deputy Leader, at number two on the Progressive Party list.

He says putting a video online is important for reaching minority communities who are usually shut out from broadcast media.

"I've been involved in many political campaigns over the years and it has always been unusual for parties to use video to spread a message because we are limited in our access to broadcast advertising. But now we can put video on the Internet, we can reach out to particular communities who don't have access to mainstream media," Matt Robson said.

"Progressives are saying that, with the support of these communities, I can join Jim Anderton back in parliament. Together, we can stop National selling our Kiwibank, axing four weeks annual leave and putting a new tax on innovation; and we can make new gains in making dental care and home ownership more affordable and accessible, helping New Zealanders with winter power bills and supporting vulnerable teens."

The video can be seen on line at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Kh_gNyRrmo
