Mr McRoberts recently returned from Gaza where he reported on the conflict for TV3.
“Journalists like myself have been able to get into Gaza and see the devastation and destruction for ourselves.
“The innocent victims are the children of Gaza. They need your support.”
The conflict killed 431 children, injured 1,872 and left hundreds of thousands of children traumatised.

UNICEF is helping children go back to school, where they can interact, play, rebuild their routines and overcome distress.
Among the top priorities are repairing schools and removing unexploded ordnance so that children remain safe. UNICEF has already begun distributing vital educational supplies such as school-in-a-box kits and school tents.
