Investitures - Wellington


The achievements of New Zealanders across a wide spectrum of fields will be celebrated at Investiture Ceremonies at Premier House in Thorndon next week.
Governor-General, Hon Sir Anand Satyanand, will host five ceremonies at Premier House at 10.30am on Monday 31 August, 10.30am and 2.30pm on Tuesday 1 September, 10.30am on Wednesday 2 September and 10.30am on Thursday 3 September.
Media wanting to attend must contact Public Affairs Manager, Antony Paltridge, on 021 470 583 by 5pm on the day before the ceremony.

The ceremonies are being held at Premier House because of the closure of Government House Wellington for the ongoing conservation project.
Some of those receiving awards include Coast-to-Coast organiser Robin Judkins for services to sports administration, superconductor scientist Dr Jeff Tallon for services to science, Wellington College principal Roger Moses for services to education, Wellington city councillor John Morrison for services to cricket and the community; Victoria University political scientist Professor Stephen Levine for services to education and the Jewish community; and former Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Simon Murdoch, for public services.
