On Q + A This Sunday:

Guyon Espiner interviews Tertiary Minister, Steven Joyce who has big plans for the sector. What impact will the proposals have on students and will universities be able to lead the promised ‘step change’ in the New Zealand economy?

The Securities Commission is cracking down on finance companies and their directors. Paul Holmes interviews its Chairwoman Jane Diplock and asks if it’s too little, too late? They will also discuss what needs to be done to convince New Zealanders to start investing again.

Sir Peter Gluckman, the Prime Minister’s Chief Science Advisor on climate change will also be on Q+A talking about skepticism around the issue and the ways we can cut our agricultural emissions.

Joining Paul and Dr Therese Arseneau on the panel is fund manager and columnist Brian Gaynor and University of Canterbury Vice Chancellor and former Reserve Bank deputy governor, Dr Rod Carr.

Q + A is broadcast live 9-10am Sunday on TV ONE and repeated at 9.10pm on Sunday nights and 10.10am and 2.10pm on Mondays on TVNZ 7.
