Mayor Ogden wishes retiring councillor well

Mayor David Ogden has expressed his great regret at Councillor Deborah Hislop’s decision not to seek a further term on the Hutt City Council.

“I was disappointed when Deborah told me she would not be standing for re-election as she has been one of the most effective councillors I’ve had the pleasure to work with.

“However I respect Deborah’s decision to stand down at this time and thank her for all she has contributed during her six years as a councillor. She has worked tirelessly for the people of the Central Ward and Hutt City and will be missed.

“I wish Deborah well for the future,” Mayor Ogden said.
