City Vision launches Campaign for Community Voice
City Vision launches Campaign to Give the Community a Voice
“We are energised and ready to campaign”, says Robert Gallagher, the Chair of City Vision after the successful campaign launch in Mt Roskill.
“All across our city people are concerned that the new Supercity will take our community voice away. Well, Aucklanders have a chance to reclaim their voice when they vote in the local elections starting next month”, says Richard Northey, leader of the City Vision/Labour team on Council.
“The team of candidates we have selected have come up from the community. They believe in public ownership of our assets; giving our communities a real say; a fair and reasonable rating system; and real action on public transport. We offer a real alternative to the privatising corporate governance model of Rodney Hide and C&R”, said Robert Gallagher, Chair of City Vision.
“We were thrilled to have Len Brown attend our campaign launch and set out his vision for a progressive Auckland that is respectful of local communities. We are united and organised and we will be heading out into our communities now to campaign hard and to give our communities a strong voice”, said Mike Lee.
City Vision and associated candidates for Council, Local Boards and Auckland District Health Board are listed below.
