Mayoral candidate receives death threats

Mayoral Candidate 21 year old Jevan Goulter receives death threats:

It would seem the redneck contingent of Wanganui are starting to show their presence, In learning that 21 year old Mayor Candidate Jevan Goulter will not back down nor be frightened like a Burmese kitten, the extreme right wing activists have made themselves known that they are out to get Jevan.

Through a series of threats over the recent days via mail, email, face book and then vandalism, Jevan Goulter is quickly realising what a compromising position he is starting to put his safety in. “This is not America, we live in New Zealand, I never realised how backwards part of this country still is” state Jevan.

Threats like:

“I’m gonna set you on fire, put you out before you die and crucify you upside down in the middle of majestic square”

“Your as good as dead little man, run while you still can”

“I’m coming back at the end of the year, and if you’re still in town I’ll be hunting you”

“Fuck mate... Top shows are what I’m all about. Fuck Jevan Kill the cunt”

“Watch your backs very closely”

Just to name a few, with the latest attack being at some early hours of the morning on the garage door of where Mr Goulter resides, spray painted in blue “Your Dead Homo”.

This may have been started by the Mayor giving out the address on radio of Mr Goulter, and a number of his crazy, racist and homophobic followers however there is no clear evidence at this point in time.

All information is being handed to the Wanganui Police, “I have faith that the police will act and live up to their duty, as it is unacceptable in this country when anybody is threatened or made to feel unsafe”.
