This Weekend on The Nation

Saturday September 11, 1100 Tv3; Sunday September 12, 0800, TV3

Following on the three hours of Earthquake Specials we did for TV3 last weekend, this week we take a look at the broader implications of the Quake.

Duncan will interview Bill English on the economic implications.

Sean will interview IGNS scientist, Dr Ken Gledhill and the director of Victoria University's Earthquake Hazard Centre, Andrew Charleson.

Sean will also chair a panel of prominent Cantabrians: Architect, Peter Beavan; Editor of The Press, Andrew Holden and author, Stevan Eldred-Grigg. They will debate what it is that makes Christchurch special to them.

But it's not just earthquakes that can destroy buildings --- we report on the battle to save the historic St James Theatre in Auckland.
