Jim Anderton takes his campaign to the streets
Jim Anderton takes his campaign to the streets.
The People's Mayor, Jim Anderton is launching a busy schedule of street corner meetings as part of his campaign to take his message directly to the people of Christchurch.
“Part of my campaign will be on the streets because I believe we need a Mayor and a Council who listen to the people. I'm going to be out on the streets for the rest of the campaign, talking directly to the people and listening to the issues that matter to them”.
Mr Anderton said he was committed to being an open and accountable Mayor and his campaign was reflecting this.
“This city is sick and tired of a Council which makes all its important decisions behind closed doors. If elected I'll be a Mayor who will be easily accessible to the people.”
