Beehave, a satirical comedy show which mixes both real and "puppet" politicians has just released its fifth episode as Education Amendment Bill 2 gathers up momentum after its second reading in Parliament. Sadly, no one is showing any concern that the Law Commission's recommendations to safeguard the welfare of children have all been ignored and that the 33,000 children currently enrolled in such schools will have to fend for themselves once again, with not support from any branch of the Government, be it the Ministry of Education, Health & Safety, or anyone else for that matter.
But there is still time to affect this Bill: should the Law Commission's recommendations number 14, 27 and 28 be put into the Bill, they would serve as a Disclaimer to alert parents to the total lack of regulation in private schools, making them aware of the implications of sending their children there. It's only when people are fully informed that they can make the right choice.
Episode 5 of "Beehave" focusses among other matters with why the Government has to bail out private schools and serves as an explanation as to why there isn't any money left to increase the salaries of public school teachers. Joining Hon. Anne Tolley, Minister of Education, are John Key, Prime Minister of New Zealand, and Catherine Delahunty, Green MP and Spokesperson on Education.
But can you tell who are the real politicians and who are the puppets?

Please enjoy Beehave, and don't forget to rate, comment and share. Keep satirical comedy alive and contact your local MP to tell them how you feel that the Government is happy that 33,000 children will continue to have no welfare protection whatsoever in New Zealand.
No politicians were harmed in the making of this programme.
