Racist Extremist Wastes More of Your Money

Tamaki Independent candidate Stephen Berry has never had a high opinion of former Maori Party MP Hone Harawira. Revelations that he intends to mark the beginning of his new Mana party by forcing a by election in Te Tai Tokerau seven months out from a general election have done nothing to improve Mr. Berry's view of the MP.

“This is a rediculous waste of half a million dollars just a few months out from a genral election. Unfortunately it is of little surprise to see someone who has made a career from leeching off the state, using more taxpayer dollars to launch his vehicle for racism and beneficiaries.”

Stephen Berry does not believe it is cynical to view Hone Harawira's impending resignation for Parliament as a state funded publicity stunt. “It doesn't take brains to see there is no logic in resigning from Parliament only to then contest the following by-election. This is pure publicity grabbing, funded by theft from the productive!”

The stunt from Harawira comes on the heels of proof that the MP also spent over $40,000 on travel in the last 3 months. “Hone is a professional bludger. As long as the state keeps giving, he will keep taking.”

“It is clear what sort of political party Harawira will be forming when one looks at the names of those who are backing its formation. People like Annette Sykes, Matt McCarten and John Minto are all advocates of freeloading. They are advocates for the racist and lazy, rabidly enthusiastic about stealing from those who really work and create wealth.”

Stephen Berry will not be contesting a by-election in Te Tai Tokerau, prefering to focus on winning Tamaki in the general election. “I couldn't if I wanted to. My skin is the wrong colour.”
