TPP Talk: Viet Nam Stakeholder Plans Announced

TPP Talk: Viet Nam Stakeholder Plans Announced

19 May 2011 by Brody Sinclair

Registration is now open for stakeholders wanting to be involved during the seventh round of Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam, in June.

So far there are confirmed opportunities for stakeholders to present and distribute information at a forum on 19 June, before the round itself gets underway the next following day. There will also be the chance to attend a briefing by the nine Lead Negotiators on 21 June, and it is likely that registered stakeholders will be invited to a reception on the evening of 20 June.

There are usually other informal opportunities for stakeholders to meet with delegates in common areas of the negotiating venue, although the most productive and substantive engagement between the New Zealand negotiating team and domestic stakeholders happens here at home.

More information, including contact details, can be found in the stakeholder information document (PDF 64.5KB) prepared by the round’s Vietnamese hosts.
