Sir Anand Satyanand Patron to Transparency International NZ
The Right Honourable Sir Anand Satyanand is Appointed Patron to Transparency International New Zealand

Transparency International New Zealand today announced the addition of former New Zealand Governor General The Right Honourable Sir Anand Satyanand as its Patron.
In accepting this position, Sir Anand is recommitting to involvement in the organisation which he was not able to continue while serving as Governor General.
Transparency International New Zealand’s Chairperson Suzanne Snively said:
“We are excited to welcome Sir Anand to the position as Patron to Transparency International New Zealand. We applaud his commitment to low corruption and good governance as he demonstrates by quickly re-establishing his relationship with TI-NZ.
We expect Sir Anand to be much more than a figurehead and be actively involved with the direction and activities of TI-NZ as we continue to champion transparency throughout New Zealand, the Pacific and the world.”
On his appointment Sir Anand emphasises:
"Transparency International is an organisation with a respected name that helps encourage high standards in governance in organisations everywhere in the world.
This is work with which I have had an association in the past and with which I can perhaps play a helpful role in the future. This may be in our country as well as among neighbouring countries in the Pacific."
