Workers get media voice in “The Union Report”
Commencing 8pm Monday April 23 – UHF Ch 41

In a year of turbulence and strife between unions and employers Triangle TV is launching “The Union Report”, a new current affairs programme that looks at the news of the week through the lens of industrial relations.

Hosted by blogger and controversial broadcaster Martyn Bradbury, the “The Union Report” will bring together dispute insiders, union leaders and commentators to provide an alternative analysis to traditional mainstream media coverage.

Council of Trade Union (CTU) President Helen Kelly and commentators Chris Trotter and Mike Williams will be joined by a changing panel of guests from prominent trade unions and CTU affiliates to discuss the week’s industrial activity from the workers ‘perspective.

“Triangle Television is pleased to be associated with “The Union Report” because not only does it fit with our existing stable of current affairs programmes, it joins a number of exciting new series that we have scheduled in the near future. These programmes further emphasise the channel’s commitment to providing the best in public service broadcasting” says CEO Jim Blackman.

Martyn 'Bomber' Bradbury is well known to Triangle TV viewers as the host of the NZ on Air funded 'Citizen A' that reviews the week with bloggers. He also hosted the iPredict Election Show which predicted the election result closer than any other news agency and had the show described by political scientist Bryce Edwards as "intelligent and entertaining".
