We’re pleased to have 2 international expert speakers attending the EDS conference in August.
PETER COSIER - Director and a founding member of the Wentworth Group of Concerned Scientists, Australia
Accounting for Nature: Peter will be talking about an Australia-wide, regionally-based trial of the Wentworth Group’s Accounting for Nature model which constructs a common, non-monetary currency for measuring environmental assets.
The Wentworth Group of Concerned Scientists was established in 2002 with the aim of connecting science to public policy. Peter believes that future prosperity requires a fundamental transformation of our economic and political institutions as the world’s natural systems come under increasing pressure in the 21st century. He believes that such a transformation is impossible until the condition of environmental assets can be systematically measured in a form which can enlighten economic and policy decisions.
