Jenner Lichtwark endorsed by Positive Money NZ

By-elections provide an opportunity for voters to apply pressure for changes to Government policy. Stripping the private banks of the power to create our money supply and handing it to the Reserve Bank is the single biggest change that would enable devastated cities like Christchurch to be rebuilt quickly and at the least cost.

Of all the candidates standing in this by-election only Jenner Lichtwark, the candidate for Democrats for Social Credit, promotes a financial policy similar to that advocated by Positive Money NZ.

Positive Money in the UK was created out of disillusionment with the present financial system that dominates the Western world. Our research has shown that the main cause of the increasingly frequent financial crises was that private banks create virtually all the UK's money supply as interest bearing debt. And the same is true in New Zealand.

Since the main profits of the banks derive from that interest there is a strong incentive for the banks to create more money than the economy can stand, causing the sequence of booms (usually leading to a rapid rise in house prices) followed by busts. This was the cause of the 2008 bust and of most of the majority of crashes before that.

Positive Money NZ asks that the people of Christchurch East vote at this election to show the government they want positive change. Positive Money is not a political party. We are standing no candidates. We exist to promote that one financial objective.

Positive Money NZ is pleased to endorse the DSC’s candidate Jenner Lichtwark for Christchurch East.
