‘Revolution’ Clip Now Rated ‘PG’

‘Revolution’ Clip Now Rated ‘PG’

Internet MANA has voluntarily taken down its Join the Revolution video clip and replaced it with a more “family-friendly” version following a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority.

Christian lobby group Family First NZ lodged a complaint to the ASA about the clip, which featured spontaneous audience chanting at the Internet Party’s “Party Party” music concert in Christchurch late last month.

Although the ASA cannot compel Internet MANA to take down the clip, the party has opted to voluntarily remove it from its Youtube channel following the ASA’s decision to uphold the complaint. It has been replaced with a new version. The new clip can be viewed HERE.

Internet MANA believes that while the original footage featured legitimate political expression by a large group of politically disaffected young New Zealanders, it respects the decision by the ASA, which is a self-regulatory body.
