Te Māngai Pāho Plays Down Funding Disagreement

PRESS RELEASE 24 SEPTEMBER 2014

Te Māngai Pāho Plays Down Funding Disagreement

The Chief Executive of Te Māngai Pāho, John Bishara, today said that today’s media reports of a funding disagreement with Māori Television had come as a complete surprise to him.

“I have received an explanation from Māori Television on this issue. I have been assured by Māori Television that they regret this error.”

“My immediate response was to identify the particular reservations that Māori Television personnel had over these changes and these have now been satisfactorily addressed. The projects funded in the latest round will proceed as planned.”
