Adam Holland's Advice for Labour
Adam Holland's Advice for Labour
From the Independent Northland Candidate: Adam Holland
It brings Northland electors much pleasure to have such a wonderful mix of candidates stepping up to the challenge of securing their seat, and a chance to change the government. I however, like hundreds I've spoken to in the electorate, have an issue with two particular individuals involved - Labour Party Candidate Willow-Jean Prime and Labour Party Leader Andrew Little.
All polls and media reports have accurately indicated that Winston Peters is more likely than Labour to take the seat, however that's now becoming increasingly unlikely given that a massive and unnecessary vote-split between Winston Peters and Willow-Jean Prime is on the cards come polling day on the 28th of March.
Mr Little must pull his candidate out of the race, thereby allowing Winston Peters a better chance; If Winston Peters wins, Andrew Little will likely become the new Prime Minister, as National and their coalition partners combined have a majority in the House of Representatives of only one seat - 61-60 - National (59) ACT (1) United Future (1) vs the opposition - Labour (32) Green (14) New Zealand First (11) Maori (2)
The Green Party made the right decision by opting out of a Northland campaign.
It's for the facts
listed above that Andrew Little should be more careful and
reasonable by pulling out of the race and probably making a
deal to endorse Winston Peters.
Winston Peters added
just moments ago - ''Labour Can't win - we can'' - I
completely agree as do thousands of Labour Party supporters
in the
electorate.
