RainbowYOUTH's AGM and call for Board Member Applications


Applications are now open for those under 27 to join the executive board of one of the largest and longest serving youth run, youth lead organisations in Aotearoa!

RainbowYOUTH has a place as one of the leading providers of peer support, referral, education and information for the queer & gender diverse community in the country. To continue the services they provide, and to help build RainbowYOUTH to be even better - they need your help!

RainbowYOUTH is holding their Annual General Meeting on Sunday the 28th June. The event is a chance for the whole RY whānau to come together to celebrate the hard work that staff, board, members and volunteers put into achieving RY’s goals & projects.

There will be free kai and networking opportunities, as well as a chance to become familiar with what RainbowYOUTH has done over the last 12 months. Members of RainbowYOUTH, friends, whānau and community professionals are all warmly invited to attend this open event.

The Annual General Meeting is also a time when the current RainbowYOUTH Executive Board stands down, and new members can apply to be elected onto the board.

The board of RainbowYOUTH comprises of 10 individuals under the age of 27 who work in a volunteer capacity to create and maintain policy, make decisions about the strategic goals of RainbowYOUTH, work with the RY staff to set the direction of RainbowYOUTH and oversee

that RainbowYOUTH runs according to it’s constitution, vision, mission, values and objectives.

RainbowYOUTH stands as one of the largest and longest serving youth run, youth lead organizations in New Zealand and they are looking for passionate, committed and diverse members of the community to apply to be on the executive board to help continue that legacy.

They aim to be as representative of the wider queer and gender diverse community as possible, and to do this they need the voices of all behind them.
