Saturday 1st August | Dr Patu Hohepa is in Rarotonga at the moment along with other representatives from Aotearoa to pay tribute to Pa Tepaeru Te Ariki Upokotini Marie Ariki.

Pa Tepaeru Te Ariki Upokotini Marie Ariki was crowned after the death of her late mother Pa Terito Davis Ariki in 1990. She passed away at Nga Whare Waatea Marae. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Pa Tepaeru’s reign.

Patu Hohepa talks about the hononga between the Kuki Airini peoples and all the sovereign other nations of the Pacific.

Sunday 2nd August | Its the end of Maori Language week, so how was it and where too next. Te Taura Whiri has a new Chairman, a new right shifted language strategy along with some new, young and energised commissioners. Its all about Whangaitia Te Reo. We talk with Language Commissioner, linguist and reo guru Ruka Broughton from Taranaki whanui about the health of the language
