Continued support for Super Gold Scheme welcomed

Local government welcomes Government’s continued support for Super Gold Scheme

LGNZ has welcomed the Minister of Transport Hon Simon Bridges’ confirmation today that the entitlement and Government’s support for those eligible for the Super Gold Card will not change.

The Chair of the LGNZ’s Regional Sector, Stephen Woodhead, also welcomed the Government’s confirmation that costs for the scheme will not be passed onto ratepayers and their communities.

“Regional councils accept the assurance given by the Minister today that Government funding for the Super Gold Card will continue.

“We continue to work closely with the Ministry of Transport and the New Zealand Transport Agency to deliver greater efficiency from the Government’s investment in the Scheme,” said Mr Woodhead.
