Ngāpuhi Mourns Loss of Sir Graham Latimer

The Board of Trustees for Te Rūnanga-Ā-Iwi O Ngāpuhi wish to express their sorrow over the passing of Sir Graham Latimer, a great Māori leader and role model of modern times.

“Sir Graham Latimer was an inspirational leader, and man of tremendous influence and integrity. His determination and commitment for Māori development, rights and interests was unwavering” Acting Board Chair Carol Dodd said.

“Ngāti Kahu and Te Ao Māori have lost a great leader and statesman. We extend our warmest condolences to his whānau at this time”.

Nā reira e te rangatira, haere ki te moana nui, te rerenga o ngā waka i hoea ai e rātou mā, ka ngaro i te tirohanga kanohi. Haere ki te hono i wairua, moe mai i roto i te ariki.

Ends.
