Let’s Do This - Labour Launches First Election TV Ad
Let’s do this. Labour’s first TV election advert launched
Labour’s first election TV advertisement focuses on the opportunity New Zealanders have at this election to seize the moment and vote for a Party that will start to build a better country.
Narrated by Labour Leader Jacinda Ardern, the ad features New Zealanders from all walks of life, as we follow Jacinda from her offices in Parliament to speaking at the Labour Party’s campaign launch.
Created in little over two weeks and filmed over seven days, the ad was produced by creative agency Augusto, supported by a number of creative individuals.
Leon Kirkbeck, co-founder of Augusto, said: “After Jacinda became Leader, a collaboration of passionate creative individuals came together to devise a new advertising campaign that reflected Jacinda’s optimism, energy and determination to make New Zealand better.”
“The urgency required quick thinking and fast decisions, so after two concepting sessions, filming began and the final shots were captured live at the Labour Party campaign launch less than 48 hours ago,” said Leon Kirkbeck.
Labour’s 2017 Campaign Manager, Andrew Kirton, said: “We are stoked with the new ad and hope New Zealanders will like it to. We wanted to convey a message that this election is a key moment in time, where we can either vote for more of the same, or vote for a leader and a party that has a positive vision for the future.”
The TVC features the sound-track ‘Always On My Dub Mind’ by Tiki Taane. It goes to air tomorrow, 23 August 2017.
