Two week extension for America’s Cup submissions

The period for making submissions on the current notified America’s Cup resource consent applications has been extended by two weeks.

The closing date for making submissions will now be 14 March 2018.

The extended submission period has been publicly notified today following a formal request from the applicant, Panuku Development Auckland.

It applies to the two existing notified resource consent applications to build the America’s Cup bases at Wynyard Basin, agreed by the council’s Governing Body on 14 December 2017.

The applications remain unchanged. It is only the submission period which has been extended.

The extension is to allow for ongoing work on the base options currently under consideration for hosting the America’s Cup and for Council to consider any implications for the consenting process should there be a requirement to do so.

The America's Cup notified resource consent applications are available to view on the council's website here.
