Epsom Voters Reject Extremism - Worth
EPSOM VOTERS REJECT EXTREMISM
Richard Worth, National
Candidate for Epsom
Epsom voters have a long track record of rejecting extremism in any form, the National candidate Richard Worth said today in response to claims from the Epsom Labour candidate that Act is a fascist party.
“Epsom voters have a keen sense of social justice. They look for balanced policies that will advance to nation’s economic position and its ability to deliver quality social programmes.
“The Labour candidate is clearly deeply concerned at the extremist positions struck by Rodney Hide and his supporters at electorate meeting, as indeed I am.
“It is therefore not too surprising that, after weeks of canvassing and assessing the mood of voters, the Labour candidate should invite swinging voters to support me in order to prevent the Act candidate from winning the seat.
“It is good that he has seen the light. Clearly this reflects that the Labour candidate is preparing to throw in the towel. On our current polling we can, without Labour muddying the waters, cancel out Act in Epsom.
“I trust he will influence his supporters to heed his message.
“National’s support in the electorate is strong.
Our team is united and enthusiastic. We look forward to
building on the goodwill for National in the electorate.
