RD1.COM Opens Site And Improves Navigation

Rural supplies and services company RD1.COM has overhauled its site navigation to make its online store easier to use.

Farmers can now access a wide range of information and services without having to ‘log in’ to the website www.RD1.COM.

RD1 chief executive Neal Murphy said the changes were in response to demand from customers for greater and easier access to information and services.

“As our customers become better acquainted with using the Internet, they want faster access and greater accessibility,” he said.

The overhaul means that ‘walk in’ visitors can move around much of the site, including going into the store to compare prices and goods and services available.

“We want to encourage new visitors to the site to see for themselves the kinds of services and resources they can access,” said Mr Murphy.

However, RD1 user registration and an AnchorMart account is still required if users want to purchase goods or services or access secure areas of the site, such as individual farm milk data.

RD1.COM has around 8,000 items for sale from the website, and is the country’s largest online agricultural store.

RD1 is a new generation rural supplies and services company launched by the New Zealand Dairy Group, NZ Post and ASB Bank around a year ago. It uses multi-channel sales and support, including its website, national call centre and its 27 AnchorMart stores and three Crawford Agriculture stores around the country.
