Full House for PeopleSoft JAPAC marketing team

PeopleSoft appoints new Financial Management Solutions and

Supply Chain Product Marketing Managers

PeopleSoft has bolstered its Japanese and Asia Pacific (JAPAC) marketing team with the appointment of John O’Doherty as Financial Management Solutions Product Marketing Manager and Paul Liddiatt as Supply Chain Product Marketing Manager.

Reporting to Ray Kloss, Director, Industry and Product Marketing JAPAC, the new appointments reinforce PeopleSoft’s increased commitment to Australia and the region.

Commenting on the new appointments Kloss said: “PeopleSoft is going through a phase of rapid growth in the region since the merger with JD Edwards. We want to ensure that we’re capitalising on every opportunity with a dedicated team of specialists.”

“The team we have assembled are experts in their fields. John has done some ground breaking work on incorporating International Accounting Standards into PeopleSoft products, while Paul has been instrumental on a number of global supply chain and manufacturing deals during his time with PeopleSoft,” Kloss added.

Based in Melbourne, O’Doherty will be the Product Marketing lead for Enterprise Financials, responsible for developing awareness for PeopleSoft Enterprise Financial Management Solutions (EFM) and building the EFM customer pipeline across the region.

“This exciting role is one I have pursued for some time. Having worked with a wide range of businesses over the past nine years to transform their accounting practices with PeopleSoft EFM, the opportunities for EFM adoption in the region are enormous,” O’Doherty said.

“The regulatory environment in the region is constantly changing, requiring more insight into a company’s financial position. PeopleSoft is poised to help companies across JAPAC to comply with regulations such as International Accounting Standards, Sarbannes-Oxley and Basel II so it’s never been a better time to be in this market,” concluded O’Doherty.

O’Doherty has held strategic, architectural and lead consulting roles on major Enterprise Financial Management projects for PeopleSoft including ANZ Bank, Commonwealth Bank, Air New Zealand and The University of Adelaide.

Prior to joining PeopleSoft, O’Doherty held account management positions at Financials vendor Emphasys Corporation in Australia and systems and management accounting positions at an international shipping line.

Also based in Melbourne, Paul Liddiatt comes to the role of Director, Supply Chain Marketing after three years leading PeopleSoft’s successful Supply Chain Solutions Consulting team in the UK.

“Paul carries a wealth of industry knowledge and applications solutions experience that is rare to find in a single individual. Paul’s appointment will benefit both our customers and our team,” said Ray Kloss.

Responsible for expanding PeopleSoft’s Supply Chain Management footprint in the region, Liddiatt will be concentrating on leveraging JD Edwards’ leadership in the Supply Chain space for all PeopleSoft customers.

“PeopleSoft has always had a good story to tell in its Supply Chain offering,” said Liddiatt. “Now with the acquisition of JD Edwards, we have an even more compelling offering with products designed for faster implementation and return on investment in this area.”

Liddiatt brings over 18 years of supply chain management, sales and marketing experience to his new post at PeopleSoft. Before PeopleSoft Liddiatt gained first hand experience of improving supply chain performance with General Motors in Europe, USA, and Australia including five years at GM-Holden leading the EDS team managing GM’s IT systems.
