Maxnet Appointments Support Network Investment

MAXNET APPOINTMENTS SUPPORT NETWORK INVESTMENT

Maxnet, a leading second tier Internet Service Provider (ISP) has appointed two new senior technical staff to manage their network and support business growth.

Derek Gaeth, Network Manager brings to Maxnet nine years of Internet engineering experience including spear-heading network development at RadioNet and Seanet. His career has included working on the America's Cup telemetry overseas.

David Fox, Senior Network Engineer also brings many years of senior network engineering experience to Maxnet from roles with Asia Online, ICONZ and NetTel.

"We are delighted to have two such experienced engineers join Maxnet", said Brett Herkt, Managing Director of Maxnet. "With over $1m invested in developing a carrier grade network their expertise will be vital as we move to the next stage of our growth developing our activities in the business sector alongside our well established residential activity".

"More than 50% of our business now coming from the business sector so it is more important than ever that our network can handle advanced customer requirements, provide strong security and maximum up-time" said Mr. Herkt

"Our Network team, under Alastair Johnson, who is moving on to work on Telecom's Next Generation Network, has recently completed the migration of our network and our significant colocation business into our new carrier grade facility in Albany".

"The investment we have made in both the network and the people to manage it, position us very well to meet the challenges of a very competitive market" said Mr. Herkt.
