Driven by customer demand SmartTrade has added The Quantum Enterprise Accounting system to its list of integration partners.
The interface, developed using Quantum’s API (Application Programmers Interface), enables the two products to share information without the need for duplicate data entry.
Both packages provide different functions in the market. Quantum is a full-service office accounting system, ideal for the trades, such as electricians, plumbers, gas fitters, air conditioning fitters, due to its focus on service based industries. Quantum features full time and cost, project management and financial reporting functionality. SmartTrade is a comprehensive job management system helping field-service and contracting companies run their businesses by keeping an accurate track of labour, materials and variations. SmartTrade Mobile allows service businesses to equip field staff with handheld computers, significantly reducing paper work and improving productivity.
The integration of SmartTrade with Quantum delivers best of breed products for the trade industries.
For example, a plumber can now instantly work out a quote on the SmartTrade mobile facility, get it approved by a client on-site and then create an invoice and make an order. Once a job is finished it is then sent into Quantum where orders and invoices are automatically processed in Quantum. In the past the steps of a tradesman visiting a site, making a quote, sending it to a client, waiting for it to be approved and then sending an invoice would take a while. Now it can all be done a lot faster, saving time and costs, without the need of re-entry into a database and importantly reducing mistakes.
