Orcon named official ISP partner for Trade Me

New Zealand’s biggest website Trade Me has teamed up with top New Zealand ISP, Orcon Internet, to help more New Zealander’s experience the internet at high speed.

“Orcon and Trade Me share similar values, have similar backgrounds and are both kiwi business success stories, so we jumped at the chance to partner with Trade Me to help bring more New Zealanders on to broadband,” said Scott Bartlett, General Manager at Orcon.

Visitors to Trade Me can click through from the Orcon presence in the ‘Computer’ section of Trade Me, to a dedicated Orcon/Trade Me micro-site to find out more about these special offers. This site is located at www.trademe.orcon.net.nz

Orcon was successfully selected as Trade Me’s ISP partner after being assessed against various criteria including coverage, customer support and attitude.

“Orcon have a similar start-up mentality to Trade Me, and a reputation for delivering great service and products to their customers,” said Trade Me general manager, Sam Morgan.

“Orcon also scored top ISP in the survey Trade Me ran last year which shows that they are an ISP that our community feels good about.”

To mark the new partnership, Orcon are making a special offer to the 1.4 million Trade Me members. Members who sign up for Orcon Broadband will receive a $10 credit on their Trade Me account, in addition to Orcon’s current promotion of a free modem or 2 months free broadband.
