Canon receives accolades across the board

Canon receives accolades across the board

Two of the world’s leading independent document imaging testers have this week awarded a range of products across Canon’s extensive business solutions portfolio with their highest certifications.

Buyers Laboratory Inc (BLI) and Business Equipment Research and Test Laboratories (BERTL) have both given their seal of approval to Canon’s multifunction devices, personal printers, scanners and software.

In its prestigious Winter 2011 Pick Awards, US/European based tester Buyers Laboratory Inc (BLI) has given its highest certification of ‘Outstanding’ in a total of ten categories to Canon products ranged in the New Zealand market.

This number includes printers across Canon’s imageRUNNER ADVANCE, imageCLASS, LASERSHOT and imagePROGRAF series. Canon’s imageFORMULA ScanFront scanner and document management software solution uniFLOW v5.0 also picked up the coveted award.

John Donnelly, Managing Director of BLI International Ltd, congratulates Canon on recognition for their document imaging products.

“We are proud to announce Canon as the recipient of ten ‘Outstanding’ awards for their local portfolio in this year’s Winter Picks, with its products for personal and business use demonstrating excellence in application, efficiency and cost across the board,” says Donnelly. “Each of these Canon devices stood out as front runners in their respective categories to be awarded with our ‘Outstanding’ Winter Pick and, we believe, provide the very best in imaging solutions available on the market today.”

Canon has also received the BERTL Five Star Certified Exceptional award for its imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5051 model after undergoing testing late last year. The multifunction printer was judged on 10 criteria, receiving a perfect 5/5 in almost all categories and with the lowest score 4.5/5

Mike Johnston, Country Manager for Canon New Zealand, is proud to receive the accolades from the test laboratories and is pleased to see the awards spanning a range of categories.

“Canon’s approach to customer service is not to simply sell the next printer, but to provide the best solutions to help our customers achieve their goals,” he says.

“We continue to cut costs and save time and resources for our customers by using innovative technologies such as document scanning software, video conferencing and document management software, and it is great to see that focus reflected in these awards,” says Johnston.

“That said, Canon’s commitment to improve year on year with every product it creates means that when our customers do look to renew their print equipment they are guaranteed a machine that eclipses its predecessor by delivering better quality document imaging, faster speeds and often at a reduced cost,” he says.
