Sounds good: Philips & O’Neill team-up to produce new range of top-quality durable headphones
Philips has joined forces with iconic surf brand O’Neill to produce three unique styles of headphones designed to deliver high-quality sound and withstand the demands of an active lifestyle.
The collaboration delivers sound quality and durability for sports enthusiasts and style-conscious music-lovers. “Tested on Animals” – O’Neill’s toughest board riders – the range is proven to be durable and comfortable enough to be worn all day.
The Stretch, the toughest in the range, is made with TR55LX, a material that has a surface hardness that is six times harder than the polycarbonate usually used in headphones. Designed with the die-hard sports enthusiast in mind, these super-soft noise-isolating headphones feature a wetsuit-inspired super-stretch headband to withstand the most extreme tugs and pulls.
The Snug model is a perfect mix of stylish design and great construction. Snug headphones can fold flat for packing away, making them perfect for people on the go. Powerful 40mm drivers in the headphones deliver a deep, dynamic sound and intelligent design elements such as a detachable cable prevent snags pulling on or damaging the headphones.
For those who prefer in-ear headphones the Philips O’Neill range also includes the Specked, offering the same great sound quality and durability as the Stretch and Snug in a compact and sleek design. The Specked ear buds come in six different colours and sizes for a customised fit and an improved listening experience. They feature tangle-free cables and reinforced connectors, providing additional protection from wear and tear.
“The Philips O’Neill collaboration has delivered unique, stylish headphones that can withstand the rigours of the toughest and most active lifestyles – without requiring any compromise on great sound,” says Nick Perry, Manager of Business Development for New Zealand at Philips Consumer Lifestyle.
The full range of headphones is available exclusively at Harvey Norman (product details in the attached appendix).
