Spark Announces Opportunity for Talented Fashion up-And-Comer
To celebrate the launch of Fashion Month at Spark Lab, Spark has today announced an opportunity to help further the dreams of an ambitious New Zealander starting out in the fashion industry.
Spark is looking to support a talented fashion up-and-comer through its flagship crowd-funding initiative, Spark My Potential – and is calling for anyone with an inspiring fashion project or career goal to apply.
The selected candidate will have their project promoted on the Spark My Potential site, and will also receive access to expert crowd-funding coaching, assistance with publicising their campaign, and topped-up funding from the Spark Foundation.
Spark GM for Home, Mobile & Business Jason Paris says:
“We’re passionate about New Zealand and we want to support New Zealanders doing amazing things – that’s why we have created Spark Lab. The space is about inspiring more young people to realise their potential and achieve their career dreams.
“However we know that when it comes to the creative industries it can be difficult to get your foot in the door – so this is about tapping into the power and generosity of crowd-funding through Spark my Potential to give someone with talent, ambition and a great idea their first break.
“Whether you want to create your own fashion line, you need help entering this year’s Fashion Week, or you want to do something completely outside the square – we’d like to hear from you!”
Interested applicants should submit their fashion projects to the Spark My Potential team fashionmonth@spark.co.nz by February 20th 2015. Submissions should be fashion-related and include a specific goal, funding target and timeline.
The selected candidate will be announced at the conclusion of Spark Lab Fashion Month which runs from the 3rd – 27th of February.
