Weather to get wetter, warmer and windier this week

After a stellar long weekend, the weather is set to take a warmer, windier and wetter turn.

MetService suggest Kiwis make the most of the weather on Tuesday, as it's likely to be the last fine day for a while.

Northland and northern Auckland are in for some rain and wind on Tuesday. The low will push its way down the country, touching down in the South Island overnight on Wednesday. Some exposed areas, including Northland, Nelson ranges and the West Coast could be in for some heavy rain, which had the ability to bring flooding. The upside is that it’s was going to be warmer thanks to the cloud cover.
