(SBU) Embassy delivered subject demarche to the Finnish MFA
Unit for Human Right Oct. 25 and PolChief discussed it Oct.
31 with Deputy Director Kirsti Pohjankukka. Pohjankukka
welcomed our sharing the detailed information on US sanctions
and how we intend to implement them. She said that the EU's
efforts to toughen sanctions against the Burmese regime were
moving forward and opined that they complement US efforts
well.
