(SBU) On November 20, Poloff delivered reftel demarche and
points to Jose Francisco Gonzalez, MFA Official for Security
Affairs and Defense. Gonzalez highlighted Salvadoran
President Saca's meeting with President Bush the day before
and reiterated the excellent relationship between the US and
El Salvador on military and defense matters. He added that
he was confident in El Salvador's commitment to the MNF-I
through at least 2008. Gonzalez promised to discuss the
US-Iraqi Declaration with Ambassador Leon in advance of the
December 6 Iraq Forum.
