1. (SBU) POL officer delivered on August 21 reftel demarche
regarding the five Iranian entities and individuals involved in
facilitating and controlling the flow of support to Iran's nuclear
weapons programs to: Christian Caamano, Chilean Investigative
Police; Cristina Farah of the Bank Association; Gustavo Arriagada,
Superintendent of the Superintendency of Banks; Julio Bravo, MFA's
Office of Special Political Issues; Mauricio Fernandez, Chief of
Money Laundering at the Public Ministry; Jose Manuel Garrido,
Manager of Infrastructure and Finance Regulation at the Central Bank
of Chile; Tamara Agnic, Advisor to the Deputy Finance Minister and
Chile's GAFISUD (South America's Financial Action Task Force)
representative; and Victor Ossa, Director of Chile's Financial
Intelligence Unit. Post will advise the Department of any
substantive responses.
